Swiss watchmaker Eterna launches latest collection

Soleure is the latest collection from Swiss watchmaker Eterna. The Soleure Automatic has a slim polished stainless steel case that houses a self-winding mechanical movement with date calendar that provides 38 hours of reserve power. With its case back secured by four screws and a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the Soleure Automatic is water-resistant to 50 metres (165 feet). Silver-toned or black, the Soleure Automatic dial features both polished and satin-finished stainless steel bracelet as well as the choice of white, brown or black Louisiana alligator straps - all with folding clasp. The Soleure Moonphase Chronograph contains hours, minutes and seconds as well as chronograph functions, it shows the date on the dial rim along with the day and the month at 12 o'clock.

New Tamburlaine Autumn/Winter 2010 range launches next week

The launch of Tamburlaine’s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection takes place at the ROA Gallery in London SW1 next week (see DIARYdates), exhibiting photographs, videos and garments from the label. Having worked for the past 20 years as a designer in both Paris and London, including several years as Head of Design at Kenzo Homme in Paris, Tamburlaine Gorst launched the brand in 2007. The new collection offers a leather caban made from goat skin. The finished garment is washed after stitching to give the surface its rough, crinkled and worn look. The T-shirt is treated with a special dyeing technique called ‘cold-dye’. During this process the colour only penetrates the surface and hardly at all at the seams resulting in a finished product with an antique-looking patina. Also available is a tailored military parka, made from a blend of wool, linen and metal in a herringbone weave. The garment is tailored close to the body to reinvent the parka as an elegant coat. Project D collection from Dannii Minogue & Tabitha

Project D is the new collaboration between Dannii Minogue and London designer Tabitha Somerset-Webb. The two have joined forces with Tabitha to create a ready-to-wear line of dresses. Inspired by Dannii’s style and Tabitha’s design flair, Project D introduces its first capsule collection, featuring flowing silk day looks, cocktail chic and red-carpet-ready dresses. Flowing georgette and silk dresses are complimented with oversized patent belts to create a strong silhouette. Sparkling details are added to draped black dresses to give a sense of glamour. The Autumn/Winter capsule collection marks the first phase of this design and lifestyle collaboration, which will also include an accessories range and the launch of an eponymous fragrance later in 2010. River Island Launching Kidswear

River Island is launching its debut kidswear line for Spring/Summer 2010. Expanding its remit to include girls and boys aged 3-10 years; the ‘Boys & Girls Collection’ is influenced by River Island’s older lines but developed especially for kids. The new collection will be available online from 6 April and in selected stores across the UK from the 12 April. Styles for girls include skinny grey biker jeans, pink embellished tutu skirts, patchwork dresses and studded denim waistcoats, while for boys, 50’s style varsity sports jackets, ripped jeans, rocker tees and drummer boy jackets all feature. Footwear styles include roughed up workman boots for girls and preppy deck shoes for boys. Prices range from £3.99 for vests to £14.99 for dresses and £24.99 for jackets.
