London Gift Fair takes place for the first time this September

The new London Gift Fair, launched by Clarion Events, is taking place for the first time this year on 12 - 14 September. Among the names taking part in the buying event are Parlane International, The Libra Company, Lesser & Pavey, Talbot Import Company, The Master Herbalist, Helen Exley Giftbooks and Fancy Metal Goods to name a few. The show will be co-located with the design-led show Top Drawer at the National Hall, Olympia, and will have particular appeal for buyers from London and the South East of England.

Louis Vuitton teams up with London art institutions

Louis Vuitton has announced the launch of the Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project, an unprecedented partnership between Louis Vuitton and five of London’s leading art institutions: Hayward Gallery, Royal Academy of Arts, South London Gallery, Tate Britain and Whitechapel Gallery. This three year arts and education programme will give young Londoners from across the city unique access to the museum directors and curators, artists and collectors who shape the British contemporary art scene.

Bond Street Culture & Heritage Week launches in June

In celebration of its unique history, Bond Street is to launch Culture & Heritage Week this June (See DIARYdates). Timed to coincide with the key London art fairs, the week brings together fashion, jewellery, art and antiques in a demonstration of Bond Street’s unique heritage and culture. During Culture & Heritage Week Bond Street will be transformed into a living museum where visitors will have the chance to view vintage collections, in-store exhibits and demonstrations of craftsmanship. There are also opportunities to attend private views, art and fine jewellery tours, art lectures and exclusive events. Asprey will host in-store tours showcasing select heritage pieces and unique products; fine jewellers Boucheron will display important museum pieces, while Cartier will host a series heritage tours to pre-book.
