Live magazine showcasing emerging British talent
Blood, Sweat & Fears is a live magazine, taking place in central London this month, which will showcase emerging British talent from across creative fields. Translating the concept of a magazine from the printed page to a live, interactive event, BS&F will feature artists as diverse as illustrators, musicians and a ‘haute coiffeur’ hairdresser and even jellymongers. The five-day event will run from 17-21 March at 65-67 Broadwick Street, London W1 in support of Art Against Knives. Traditional magazine elements such as photo shoots and interviews will be transformed into participatory activities that invite the audience into the artist’s work environment. The artists, their work, the event and the audience’s participation will be documented across the five days and rendered back onto paper for a limited edition publication, due for release in May. Central Saint Martins College of Art final year student, Chelsea Campbell along with Richard Danks, of London College of Fashion, is curating the interactive experience. Aimed at London’s creative community, from ad agency executives to students, Blood, Sweat & Fears aims to inspire discussion and help expose undiscovered talent. As well as the timetable of live events, the space will act as a pop-up shop showcasing the work of young artists and designers across the five days.
