Major new event launch shakes up mainstream bridal market
Foxglove Events, the creators of The Designer Wedding Show for the luxury bridal sector, have announced the launch of modernbride, a major new event for the mainstream market. The event is scheduled for this November (See DIARYdates) at London’s ExCeL and has already been extremely well received by the market. With the average cost of a wedding in the UK now put at around £20,000, brides want to invest in the best for their budget. Exhibitions are the perfect media for helping them shortlist the many must-haves for their perfect day but Sue Maddix of Foxglove feels that the mainstream market is very poorly served by the current choice of events. “When we launched The Designer Wedding Show, we knew that the top end of the market needed something fresh and new. It’s the same now for the mainstream market: there simply is not an adequate offering. What modern brides want is a contemporary event which presents fashion, quality for money and great ideas. With modernbride we are creating a truly modern destination that is fun, fashionable and stylish in every detail”, she commented. modernbride is designed for selected companies offering the following wedding products and services: accessories, bridal wear, cakes, caterers and party planners, china and glass, cosmetics, favours, flowers, gift lists, hats, honeymoon destinations, jewellery, lingerie, men’s wear, occasion wear, photographers, shoes, stationery, tiaras, veils, venues. Exhibitors and sponsors wishing to find out more about participating should get in touch.
