On 28 February 2011, the UK’s first National Make-Up Awards for Make-Up Artists will take place live at the Professional Beauty Show at ExCel London. The inaugural National Make-Up Awards will give recognition to the UK’s leading Make-Up Artists in the UK beauty industry. Candidates can select from four different categories, including Professional Make-Up Artists, Retail On Counter Make-Up Artists, Salon Make-Up Artists and Talented Student Make-Up Artists. In addition, Professional Make-Up Artists can select from four sub-categories to enter, including Best Make-Up for Editorial, Best Make-Up for Advertising, Best Make-Up for On Screen and Best Make-Up for a Studio Shoot. The deadline to enter is Friday 24 December 2010.The coincide with the event, the National Beauty Blogging Event will be taking place at the Professional Beauty Show at ExCel London from 10am – 4pm. This event is exclusive for UK Beauty Bloggers. The event will include a series of beauty demonstrations from the Beauty Experts in 20 or 40 minute slots. Beauty brands will also have the opportunity to showcase new launches and product previews at the National Beauty Blogging Event.
