Vivienne Westwood collaborates with Marie Claire on eco-friendly project

Vivienne Westwood and magazine Marie Claire have collaborated to launch a global project to promote awareness of deforestation and influence the current trend of up-cycling clothes. The iconic British designer has created a limited edition T-shirt dress exclusively for Marie Claire international readers. All proceeds from the sale of the T-shirt dress will support forest tribes in Bangladesh, whose lives have been endangered by deforestation. To produce and sell the T-shirt dress online, Marie Claire and Vivienne Westwood have partnered with the Fair Trade organisation People Tree.

This global collaboration will combine the sale of the T-shirt dress with a special Rainforest editorial section (Guest Editor, Vivienne Westwood), which will be published in 24 editions of Marie Claire this month (May).

Readers can buy the Vivienne Westwood Limited Edition T-shirt dress for £28.00 from www.peopletree.co.uk with £7.00 from each sale going toward the support of Forest Tribes.
