New e-commerce venture taking advantage of social media launches

A new partnership of internet businesses has recently launched a new e-commerce venture. Keynoir, as the collaboration is known, takes advantage of social networking and empowers people to group together via their networks and act as bulk-purchasers in order to secure offers on lifestyle experiences. The new company is the creation of Philip Wilkinson, Kelkoo director and pioneer of the first online price comparison site in the UK, Glen Drury, former CEO of Kelkoo and VP, Yahoo! Europe and Jan Riem, a technology corporate financier. The members-only buying club, which launched at the end of March in London, will expand across the rest of the UK and Europe by the end of the year, promote offers to users and encourage them to enjoy an aspirational lifestyle that Keynoir enables them to afford.
