Entries are now being accepted for the 2010 British Society of Magazine Editors Awards. This year the Society has produced an online entry form which can be viewed at www.bsmeawards.com. The deadline for entering is Thursday 29 July. Some changes within categories have been made for 2010: this year a new category in the Editors of the Year Section - Sport, Leisure & Health for titles focusing on sport, gardening, or health and wellbeing has been introduced; the hugely popular Art Director of the Year Award has now been split into three categories - Business, Consumer Weekly or Fortnightly, and Consumer Monthly or Less Frequent; Current Affairs magazines will join the Newspaper Category; The Special Interest category now includes hobbies; and the Lifestyle category will now be for titles focusing on food, homes & interiors, and travel.

Any editor, editor-in-chief or editorial director of a British magazine or magazine website can be nominated for this award which is voted on by Full Members of the BSME.
The Mark Boxer Award - for outstanding services to the industry – decided by the BSME Committee but suggestions for suitable recipients are welcome.
The closing date for entries is Thursday 29 July. The results will be announced at the Awards Dinner at The London Hilton on Tuesday, 9 November 2010. It is free to make a nomination for the Editors’ Editor of the Year Category. It is also free for BSME members to enter the Awards. The entry fee for non-members is £145.00 inc VAT which includes membership of the Society until 31st December 2010. Online payments are now accepted.
