Wolsey re-launches for Autumn/Winter 2010 with a new heritage-inspired collection

British Heritage brand Wolsey - founded in Leicester in 1755 and famous for its ‘fox’ logo - has gone back to its roots to create a fresh, rugged and sports-influenced menswear collection. The emphasis is on simple, easy to wear, and easy to care for pieces. Detail and layering is key. Tees, polos and shirts are worn under fine-gauge V-necks, chunky knits with button-up collars and contrast tipping, as well as warm quilted jackets are all easy to mix and match. There’s also denim jeans to complete the look. The ‘Made in Great Britain’ capsule collection features Glenmoor lambswool and Moray Merino sweaters, 100% cotton socks designed with typically English looks and a selection of wool scarves in plains, stripes and checks including a vintage Wolsey ‘house check.’ In addition, game keeper style bags, caps and military style hats stand out as key pieces. The leather ‘Lawrie’ bag is a messenger style with magnetic fasteners on the flap, and the suede ‘Keeper’ style is fully lined with a zip pocket and has a buckle fastening. Wolsey underwear has now updated its styles, looks, feels and fits for the modern man. New for Autumn/Winter 2010 is a luxury soft key-hole trunk, and brief in modal and cotton blend. The Autumn/Winter 2010 collection has been split into four main points of design reference: Country Club, City Casual, College Sport and Great Glen. The Wolsey Autumn/Winter 2010 collection will be available from September 2010 in selected stores nationwide and online from www.wolsey.com. Prices range between £45.00 for a shirt to £80.00 for a quilted jacket. Socks and accessories start at £12.00.
