Barbour collaborates with Temperley and opens East London pop-up

Lifestyle brand Barbour is collaborating with leading British designer Alice Temperley, to launch a new flagship womenswear range, Barbour Gold Label, for AW 2011. Barbour Gold Label by Temperley designs take inspiration from Barbour’s classic styles and fabrics and combines them with Alice Temperley’s signature timeless style. The new collection will be available from selected Barbour stores and premium wholesale stores worldwide.

Barbour has also launched its first pop-up store in Spitalfields, East London. The store is set over 700 square feet and will showcase men’s and ladies clothing from Barbour’s Heritage collection inspired by designs and styles from the brand’s history. This includes the Barbour International jacket based on an authentic motorcycling pattern from the late 1930s. From 1936 to the 70s, Barbour was synonymous with trials biking and in 2011, the International will celebrate its 75th anniversary. The Heritage range also features knitwear, trousers, shirts and accessories that complement the outerwear to make a capsule wardrobe collection.
