Industry trade magazine Natural Products is now accepting nominations for its annual Outstanding Achievement Award. This year, for the first time, Natural Products readers have been invited to join in the award’s selection process by first nominating, then later voting for, their choice of individual or organisation whose contribution to the natural and organic sector has been transformational. Those who are interested in submitting a nomination should e-mail Jim Manson (An optional supporting statement of up to 250 words may also be included). The deadline for nominations is 4 February. The March issue of Natural Products will publish a list of the 10 nominees who have received the most nominations, along with a short biography of each outlining their personal achievements. The readers of the magazine (both in print and online) will then be called upon to cast a final vote to decide the overall winner of the award.
The Natural Products Outstanding Achievement Award, sponsored by Pegasus PR, will be presented to the winner at the Natural & Organic Awards, taking place on Sunday 3 April at Olympia Conference Centre (see DIARYdates) after the close of business on the first day of the Natural & Organic Products Europe trade show.
Past winners of this award include: Patrick Holden, director of the Soil Association; Sue Croft, director of Consumers for Health Choice; Sandy Constable, retailer; Jan de Vries, world renowned naturopath; Graham Gunn, managing director, The Health Store; Harriet Lamb, director of the Fairtrade Foundation; Bill Jordan, Co-founder JordansYOU; and Tim Powell, Bill Henry, Community Foods.
