The Queen honours fashion and beauty luminaries in Honours List
Several high-profile figures from the fashion and beauty industries have been recognised in the Queen’s New Year honours list. These include legendary British Fashion Designer Katharine Hamnett (pictured), whose collections have sold in over 40 countries worldwide in over 700 stores, who has been awarded a CBE. Ghost Founder Tanya Sarne, co-founders of Lush Cosmetics Margaret Joan Constantine and Mark Constantine, and Professor Wendy Dagworthy, head of the School of Fashion and Textiles, who have all been awarded OBEs for their service to the fashion and beauty industries, while MBEs have been awarded to designer Alice Temperley, shoe designer Beatrix Ong and also Barry Laden (founder of The Laden Showroom).
