H&M announce sustainable range -
Conscious Collection

This April H&M is introducing the Conscious Collection with a focus on long-term sustainability in fashion. The concept is about H&M providing quality collections but making sure that products are being manufactured under fair conditions, using, more sustainable materials and taking responsibility for how its actions affect people and the environment, while keeping customers satisfied with H&M as a company.

The collection for women, men and children is made from enviromentally-adapted and greener materials such as organic cotton, Tencel and recycled polyester. H&M’s designers have been inspired by different shades of white. Womenswear is inspired by an updated romantic style in which blouses, tunics and T-shirts with Broderie Anglaise are a key trend. Tiered dresses, long skirts and cut-off shorts can also be seen as well as a white blazer, pleated trousers and lace lingerie. Menswear takes a preppy look with a white two-button blazer, collarless shirts and T-shirts with Henley detailing at the neck. There are printed and striped T-shirts, as well as a tank top for layering and trousers are either five-pocket jeans or tailored. A Children’s collection is full of white pieces for both girls and boys which includes tiered dresses, tops and skirts for girls, and T-shirts and jeans for boys . The Conscious Collection will be on sale in all H&M stores from 14 April.
