St. Martin´s Courtyard to hold new fashion
talent exhibition during LFW

Shopping destination St Martin’s Courtyard, in Covent Garden, is collaborating with fashion designer and artist Kei Kagami and fastenings manufacturer YKK to host a new exhibition. The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the role London plays in the promotion and development of young fashion and accessories designers.

Taking place during London Fashion Week, the exhibition features a centrepiece sculpture by Kei Kagami - a floating gown created from luminous YKK zippers (pictured here) that glows in the dark and is lit from within. Surrounding the sculpture will be fashion and accessory pieces by designers selected by fashion colleges and organisations; Central Saint Martin’s, International Talent Support, London College of Fashion, Royal College of Art and Vauxhall Fashion Scout.

Designers exhibiting include: Matteo Molinari, winner of the London College of Fashion MA 2011 ‘Collection of the Year’ for his crochet tailoring; Yunus and Eliza, sculptural jewellery creators and winner of the BFC/Elle talent launch pad; Rob Goodwin who has had commissions from British and Italian Vogue; and Emma Yeo, winner of the Ascot Hat Competition.

The exhibition runs from 17 February to 10 March and admission is free. Full details are online at www.stmartinscourtyard.co.uk
