New Designers 2011, an event showcasing the best in graduate design, begins next month at the Business Design Centre. This is a two-part event that runs from 29 June to 2 July and 6 July to 9 July. (See DIARYdates)New Designers is a showcase for graduates as they emerge from the UK’s design courses to start professional careers in creative industries embracing interior design, furniture, products, home and fashion accessories, applied arts, architecture, multi-media, graphics and more. The event will include ideas, trends and work from around 3500 new designers. Jewellery designer Stephen Webster will be opening Part 1 on 29 June and presenting awards during the VIP preview evening.
