New Breed is a new London-based talent agency launching today (5 May). It will support creative talents in photography, hairdressing, make up and fashion styling and be backed up with a Zine publication and an exhibition club night. The artists who are associated to New Breed will be showcased and booked for shows, shoots and more through the website: www.wearebreeding.com.
The New Breed Zine will be published monthly, featuring the latest talent team and their work and will be distributed free to colleges, universities, creative minded companies, suitable magazines, bars and cafés in London. The exhibition club night will run bi-monthly and will be held at a different location each time, the first being at Bardens Boudoir in Dalston.
The trio behind New Breed include Lee Crichton, a hairdresser who has worked at both London and Milan fashion week; Julia Mahoney, a designer and architect who moved from Australia to pursue a career in London; and Adam J Evans, a specialist web designer who has worked with publications in the UK as both an editor and designer.
Director of New Breed, Julia Mahoney explains; ‘New Breed is an idea we have developed because we were constantly surrounded by artists who were disheartened and creatively squashed because they were never given the chance to work on top shoots or shows because they didn’t know the right people. We are here to push a creative industry in a new direction and ensure that artists are commissioned and booked for work because of their raw talent.’
