Launched onto the UK footwear market for SS11, Sun-San Sandals has been available in America since the 1940’s. As a way to cope with leather shortages in World War II, Walter Hoy started making his sandals using the scrap leather left over from making men’s shoes and before long, families were asking if Walter could make sandals for their children.
Available in up to 12 colourways and five designs, the leather is coated with a water resistant sealant which means they are perfect for both wet and dry conditions, and can also be put in the washing machine. The five designs in the launch range include swimmer, surfer, shark, sweetheart and the baby seawee. Sizes start at baby 0 through to size 3 and prices range from £34.00-£40.00.
