Mango has selected the 10 finalists of the third edition of the
‘El Boton’ Mango Fashion Awards, an event aimed at supporting new international talent. The candidates will compete for a prize of €300,000, the largest sum awarded to date in an event like this. The Jury was made up of five international design schools (Central Saint Martins, the Institut Francais de la Mode in Paris, the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, and the Escola Superior de Disseny, Barcelona) and representatives from Mango. Helena Lumelsky from Belgium, Spanish duo

Fabio Sasso and
Juan D. Caro.
Over 200 designers entered, and the final 10 were announced during the Autumn/Winter 2010 catwalk show held in Madrid on 26 May. The finalists were awarded a cheque for €18,000 to start designing their collections. The winner will be announced in October. Pictured is Mango Chairman
