Goldsmiths´ Fair 2010 taking place at the end of September
Goldsmiths’ Fair 2010 is taking place from 27 September - 3 October and 5-10 October at Goldsmiths’ Hall, London EC2 (see DIARYdates). Goldsmiths’ Fair is a one-stop destination for those seeking out jewellery and silver by independent designer-makers in the UK. This annual selling event is all about bespoke and original design. Each piece is hand-made by dedicated artists in small workshops around the country and collectively the Fair represents months of skill and artistry. For two weeks only, the makers have an opportunity to talk to the public about work and explain techniques and inspiration. Pictured here is a piece from Shaun Leane’s new Hawthorn collection, which he will be presenting at Goldsmiths’ Fair, where yellow gold branches hold berries to form pendants, earrings and rings. Shaun Leane was the recent recipient of the Jewellery Designer of the Year Award 2010.
