New handbag brand Milli Millu launches

Tired of struggling to find handbags that suited her lifestyle, Mireia Llusia-Lindh embarked on a mission to create truly multifaceted handbags. Equipped with a passion for design and an insider’s view into the lifestyle of busy women, Mireia decided to launch Milli Millu, a new range of day and night bags designed always with the busy woman in mind. Unlike many other high-end handbags on the market, Milli Millu bags combine great looks with a practical signature interior. Shoulder bags feature separate compartments for laptop, papers, pens, PDA and personal belongings. Clutches feature python on the outside, PDA pocket and zipped make-up compartment on the inside.
All handbags are handcrafted in the south of Spain with special attention to texture and detail, using the finest Italian and Spanish materials such as soft natural leathers and ribbed cotton linings. Milli Millu’s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection features six shoulder bags and a python clutch in exciting colours such as vibrant tan, deep green, aubergine and ’brit’. Each handbag is named after a city (London, New York, Barcelona, etc.) that evokes the personality of the bag. Mireia is a Barcelona-born, London-based designer and entrepreneur. Having attended university in Barcelona and Switzerland, Mireia went on to receive an MBA from Harvard Business School. She further developed her business skills and interest for fashion in London, working as a strategy advisor to numerous consumer and luxury goods firms such as Burberry and LVMH. Milli Millu’s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection will be available across Europe exclusively at www.millimillu.com. The website is being designed by Swedish marketing firm Guts & Glory and will be launched in September. Prices range from £300.00 to £500.00, filling the gap for contemporary, multifaceted, high-quality, European made handbags in the accessible luxury segment.
