Clothes Show Live has announced three new categories added to its annual Design Awards to celebrate the launch of Sknitch – the show’s brand new zone dedicated to sewing, knitting, needlework and stitching. Young Embroider of the Year, Knitwear Designer of the Year and Young Knitter of the Year categories have been introduced to the awards which present an opportunity for the UK’s young fashion, design and craft talent to showcase their skills in front of thousands of fashion fans and industry experts. From art to photography, knitting to journalism the awards are a unique educational bursary scheme dedicated to supporting and developing the rising talents within the fashion industry. Featuring 11 different categories, students are invited to enter their work for a chance of winning prizes. All entries will be shortlisted by a judging panel made-up of industry experts in November and invited to attend the award ceremony at Clothes Show Live in December 2010. The winners will be announced at Clothes Show Live, 3–8 December 2010 at Birmingham NEC (See DIARYdates).
