Chris&Tibor collaborate with artist Stuart Semple on accessories line

For Christmas 2010 there has been a new collaboration between fashion forward accessory designers, Chris&Tibor, and British contemporary artist, Stuart Semple. Pieces include pink leather and black clutch bags (studded with screen-printed Perspex, each individually hand-stitched), graffiti-style shopper tote bags and slouchy shoulder bags in heavy silk satin, bold necklaces and key-rings. The colour scheme and text is in Stuart Semple’s style and produced using high quality materials such as Italian leather. The pieces also feature hand-finished trimmings, such as small polished nickel triangles. Tying the collection together is the slogan ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’, which is taken from the song by British band, Joy Division. The Chris&Tibor/Stuart Semple line has been specifically tailored to suit all price brackets; designed as both affordable couture fashion as well as collectable contemporary art.

The concept and inspiration for the Chris&Tibor label comes from London and all the bags are named after streets, areas or iconic figures in East London and the City, such as; the Clerkenwell side bag, the London Wall bag and the Shoreditch gym bag. Chris&Tibor are well known for their accessory collaborations with international designers, such as Walter Van Beirendonck, Juun.J, Veronique Branquinho and Romain Kremer. Stuart Semple is a British painter whose work can be found in major international art collections including Getty, Niarchos and the David Roberts Foundation. Semple has collaborated on a number of artistic projects with Umbro, Moncler, The Prodigy, Selfridges, Levis and many others. The Chris&Tibor/Stuart Semple collection is available for purchase at Culture Label: www.culturelabel.com priced between £35.00 and £335.00.
