Sara Berman 'Best Of British' Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection
The Autumn/Winter 2010 Sara Berman collection celebrates the ‘Best Of British’. Throughout the last decade they have always seen the importance of keeping British fashion integrated with the brand, sourcing from UK producers, using the very best of the UK’s materials and generally keeping collections as British as possible. Harris Tweed is key throughout this collection - the Grandfather coats showcases the history of the Tweed designs, oversized cuts with navy and grey marl, while the Ringmaster Jacket brings a new boost of fun to the material, circus styles with Saville Row finishes. Keeping with the British theme, knitwear is produced from one of the only yarn mills existing in the country. A grungy and laid back attitude with the jumpers and cardigans intertwines with military and British Empire references throughout the details. Sara Berman is also pursuing the future of British design. Dan Baldwin is a young UK artist who has a knack for producing strange and mystifying prints. His artwork is based on current cultural topics with vibrant colours throughout the prints. The artwork transfers onto silk effortlessly, creating unique dresses and jacket linings to bring your winter wardrobe alive.
